I.U.P.A. Local Napoleon Police Officers’ Association officers recently appeared in the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room in the Photo of the Week, when officers Strickland and Rubio were out on patrol and they came across a lemonade stand. Both officers gladly enjoyed a nice cold cup on that hot July day!

That is not the first time, however, that officers from Napoleon Police Officers’ Association did positive things for kids in their community. They gave the City of Napoleon the funds to purchase a safety city mat and their office provides two, one week-long sessions for children ages four through six, during which children learn important city safety tips.

This summer, Napoleon Police Officers’ Association also donated to help fund a kickball tournament. Forty-eight children in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades played kickball all day long, ate lunch provided by the union, and received a coupon for a free ice cream.

Napoleon Police Officers’ Association also purchased two sets of cornhole boards, which were given to the winners of a cornhole tournament. Twenty-two students participated in the event, which included lunch. Officer Strickland, President of Napoleon Police Officers’ Association, and another union member even played against the winning team and won!
