Photos of the Week: I.U.P.A. Local 34 Supporting Community Candidates

Unions serve many important functions. They negotiate for better wages and benefits. They stand together to protect their members when working conditions are unsafe or unfair. They support their members and their communities. One very important function they serve is to support candidates who will act to protect their communities’ safety and the police who protect it. I.U.P.A. Local Virginia Beach Police Benevolent Association, #34, President Brian Luciano was doing just that recently when he attended an event at the Cavalier Beach Club to support Heidi Daniels for Virginia Beach City Council. Below are photos posted on the local’s Facebook page from the event.

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
