This year, there were ten Edward J. Kiernan Memorial Scholars selected. Annually, I.U.P.A. selects impressive students who demonstrate both academic excellence as well as the desire to pursue studies and careers within the law enforcement and labor fields in order to assist them with the costs of attending an academic institution.
They came from all across the United States and their career interests ranged between fields in forensics, federal and local law enforcement, law, and more! Upon being awarded the scholarship, students and local leaders sent in photos for press releases that were sent out with several resulting published articles about these promising young scholars!
Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
