I.U.P.A. Local Connecticut Police and Fire Union, #74 hosted its sixth annual CPFU Member Appreciation Day!
On Sunday, June 2, 2024, I.U.P.A. Local Connecticut Police and Fire Union hosted their CPFU Member Appreciation Day, sponsored by the I.U.P.A. and Baystate Financial.
Members, along with family and friends, enjoyed a wonderful day of baseball out at the beautifully constructed Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford, Connecticut. The weather couldn’t have been better.
Complete with a delicious BBQ buffet, everyone enjoyed a great view of the game from the left field party deck. Late in the game the Hartford Yard Goats came from behind to beat the Reading Fightin’ Phils 4-2. Members are already looking forward to next year’s outing.
This year, the Yard Goats honored fallen Connecticut State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier by having one of his sons throw out the first pitch at the game. An article about that is available here. ODMP has an entry about him here. I.U.P.A. President Cabral put out a statement, “Statement of President Cabral Regarding Fallen Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier” that you can read here.
Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
