The I.U.P.A. donated a shirt for every child and their chaparone attending C.O.P.S. Kids Camp this year at Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center in Salem, Wisconsin. On this, I.U.P.A. President Sam A. Cabral stated, “The I.U.P.A. is pleased and proud to have had a long and meaningful relationship with the C.O.P.S. organization.”

I.U.P.A. Secretary-Treasurer Michael V. Crivello delivered the shirts to the camp and shared with C.O.P.S. staff, “C.O.P.S. Kids Camp shares a special place in my heart. It is always a wonderful memory to see the children exploring new things, i.e., fishing, possibly for the first time. We will continue to monitor the groups that support law enforcement, while helping out where me may be available.”

C.O.P.S. Kids Camp is planned for surviving children (6-14 years of age) and their parent or legal guardian of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. C.O.P.S. Kids Camp provides families the opportunity to interact in a relaxed setting that is removed from everyday life. Oftentimes, young children who lose a parent do not have a safe, comfortable place to share their struggles with their peers. C.O.P.S. Kids Camp offers that, as well as a place for parents/guardians to do the same. To learn more about C.O.P.S. Kids Camp, visit https://www.concernsofpolicesurvivors.org/kidscamp.
