We want to help you keep your kids safe online! The social media Back-to-School photos are classic and adorable, but can also be dangerous! The revealing personal information about your child (school name, teacher, grade, age, etc.) can be used by predators, scammers, and other people looking to endanger your child, family or finances. Your privacy settings will not always protect you from the dangers of the internet and personal information; it is best to keep personal information off of online.”

They also shared on social media to remind the public about:

  • Watching out for school buses and what the bus laws are
  • Hot weather tips for keeping kids and pets safe and cool in the August heat
  • Tips on what personal information about children parents should not include in their social media posts about the first day of school
  • Privacy settings on social media.

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
