I.U.P.A. Local Sebastian Police Officers Association, #6053 Members taught members of the public about self-defense techniques, including seniors and youth in their community! The classes were offered by Sebastian Police Department and Indian River County Sheriff’s Office professionals.
On June 7, Sebastian Police Department shared on social media, “Sebastian Police Department, with a little help from Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, working with seniors at Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care. It’s never too late to learn and practice self-defense. Well done fellas!”
On June 12, Sebastian Police Department posted, “We partnered with Indian River County Sheriff’s Office to bring ‘RAD Kids’ to the Learning Nest! This free class teaches the children life-saving defense techniques. The RAD Kids life skills curriculum replaces fear with knowledge, skill, and personal strength by educating children to recognize, avoid, and resist violence.”
On July 12, Sebastian Police Department shared, “Another RAD Kids class is in the books! We are so proud of this group of kids for all their hard work put forth this week. This free class teaches the children life-saving defense techniques.
