I.U.P.A. Secretary-Treasurer Michael V. Crivello attended Officer Kendall Corder’s memorial service along with Members of Kenosha Professional Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #211 and Milwaukee Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #21.

I.U.P.A. President Sam A. Cabral issued a statement from the International in advance of the memorial service, “Officer Kendall I. Corder was 32 years old. He served the Milwaukee Police Department and the community of Milwaukee for six years. He leaves behind heartbroken loved ones and fellow officers. The I.U.P.A. joins with Milwaukee Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #21 and the Milwaukee Police Department in mourning this tremendous, senseless loss. This tragedy strengthens our longstanding resolve to support law enforcement officers and protect their safety and well-being. May we forever remember the service and sacrifice of Officer Kendall I. Officer Down Memorial page described the events that led to his End of Watch, “Police Officer Kendall Corder succumbed to gunshot wounds he received when he was ambushed at North 24th Place and West Garfield Avenue in Milwaukee on June 26, 2025. Around 9:00 p.m., Officer Corder and his partner responded to a domestic violence call with a subject with a gun, which was upgraded to a shots fired call while they were en route to the scene. When they exited their patrol vehicle and approached the alley, they were shot at least 16 times by a subject shooting a Glock-style handgun with an extended magazine, hiding in the bushes.”

They continued, “Both officers were transported to Froedtert Hospital. One officer was released on June 28, 2025, after receiving gunshot wounds to the back and foot. Officer Corder remained on life support until passing away from multiple gunshot wounds, including a severed spine, on June 29, 2025. The suspect was apprehended the next day and was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Another was charged with harboring or aiding a felon. A third person was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Officer Corder had served with the Milwaukee Police Department for over six years. He is survived by his grandmother, two siblings, and a nephew.”

Kenosha Police Department posted about Officer Corder on social media, “Yesterday, members of the Kenosha Police Department traveled to Milwaukee to pay our respects and stand in solidarity with the Milwaukee Police Department as they laid to rest one of their own — Officer Kendall Corder. Officer Corder made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on June 29, 2025. He was remembered as a dedicated public servant, a beloved colleague, and a man who truly loved his community. The outpouring of support from law enforcement agencies and citizens across the state was a powerful reminder of strength and unity. We extend our deepest condolences to Officer Corder’s family, friends, and the entire Milwaukee Police Department. His bravery, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Rest easy, Officer Corder. We’ll take it from here.”

Milwaukee Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #21 posted on social media, “Our fallen brother, Milwaukee Police Officer Kendall Corder, remains in all of our thoughts.” In a touching showing of support, money was raised through a fundraiser for the family. The Milwaukee Police Department posted online about how much it meant to the family, “For Nilsa and the Corder family, the support is felt far beyond the money raised. ‘I don’t think thank you is enough to really show how appreciative and how grateful we are,’ she said.”
