Toledo Police Patrolman’s Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #10 Members talked to preschool students about police work and the equipment they use to protect and serve.

Elizabeth Wayne Preschool shared about it on social media, “The Bear Hive classroom had a visit from two of Toledo Police Department’s finest; Officer Blackburn and Officer Toney. They talked to the kids about all the jobs a police officer has and some of the equipment they use to do them. They also got to check out a police car! It’s great for kids to see that people in uniforms are not to be feared (the donuts and stickers helped with that too! ). Thank you so much for spending the morning with us!”

Toledo Police Department also posted about it, “Lt. Sarah Dean Blackburn and Lt. Kevan Toney recently visited the Bear Hive classroom to talk to students about the many roles of a police officer and the equipment they use every day. Students even got a close-up look at a police car, always a favorite!  Thank you for having us, it’s great to build positive connections with our community (and yes, donuts and stickers help! )”
