Hammond Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #345 Members, including members of their Board, participated in the Hammond Police Department Camp Blue this year as they do every year!

• Day 1, “Day 1 of Camp Blue ✅ What an amazing start to the week! Our campers were so engaged and eager to learn all about safety procedures, from calling 911 to understanding the role of first responders! 🚔🚨 Can’t wait for the fun and learning still to come this week! Stay tuned to see what else is in store for our campers!”
• Day 2, “Day Two of Camp Blue Today was all about fun, bonding, and making memories outside of our regular camp routine! For Field Trip Day, our campers got to kick back and enjoy some well-deserved fun.  We started the day with friendly competition and lots of laughs at Monster Mini Golf, where the campers showed off their putting skills, team spirit, and laser tag skills. Then, we headed to the AMC Theater to cool off and enjoy a movie together with popcorn in hand.  These shared experiences outside of the classroom are just as important; as they help build trust, friendships, and unforgettable memories. Camp Blue is more than just lessons it’s about connection, fun, and community.  Can’t wait for what tomorrow holds!”
• Day 3, “Day 3 of Camp Blue Today was action-packed and full of excitement! Our campers got to learn all about the SWAT Team, the Street Crimes Unit, the K-9 Unit, and Defensive Tactics. They even toured real police vehicles and learned the dos and don’ts during a traffic stop because it’s never too early to be informed. One of the highlights? Watching a live Taser demonstration (yes, they loved it)! We’re so proud of how engaged and curious our campers have been and we can’t wait for what Day 4 holds! ”
• Day 4, “Day Four of Camp Blue Today was Water Day, and the kids had an absolute blast on all the giant water slides! We kept the energy high with fun games of kickball, a fierce (and hilarious) round of tug-of-war, and the always-popular dunk booth.  Let’s just say our campers (and camp leaders!) are definitely going to sleep well tonight.  Tomorrow is graduation day, and we can’t wait to celebrate our incredible group of campers! ”
• Day 5, “Day Five of Camp Blue Today was the final day of Camp Blue, and we are so thankful for everyone who made this week unforgettable! A huge thank you to all the police officers, reserves, and volunteers who gave their time to support our campers and make this experience so special. Our campers had a blast touring the police station and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the heart of law enforcement. We wrapped up the day with a proud graduation ceremony to celebrate all they’ve learned and accomplished. Thank you to all the parents for your continued support we couldn’t have done it without you! Congratulations to all of our Camp Blue graduates! We hope you had the best week ever, and we can’t wait to do it again next year! ”
