Milwaukee Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #21 Members along with I.U.P.A. Secretary-Treasurer Crivello participated in C.O.P.S. Kid’s Camp this year!

Milwaukee Police Department shared MPD Mounted Patrol Foundation’s post on social media, which stated about C.O.P.S. Kid’s Camp, “The camp is held yearly for surviving children from 6-14 years old and their parent or guardian of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Thank you, WI C.O.P.S. for always having a wonderful camp for these families to attend.  Also, a huge thank you for all of the volunteers who plan and work through the year to make sure it runs so perfectly!”

On their website, C.O.P.S. describes what to expect from the camp, “C.O.P.S. Kids Camp invites families to step away from the hustle of daily life and connect in a fun environment. For young children suffering the loss of a parent, finding a safe space to express their feelings and relate to your children can be challenging. This camp not only provides that safe environment, but also offers a supportive atmosphere for parents and guardians to share their challenges and experiences of helping their child(ren) through their grief journey.” Read more on their website at https://www.concernsofpolicesurvivors.org/kidscamp
