Shreveport Police Union, I.U.P.A. Local #275 Members hit the neighborhoods of Shreveport with members of the community and other city staff to implement the Block by Block initiative!
Shreveport Police Department posted about it on social media, “It’s undeniable—great things are happening in our city! The work isn’t finished, but thanks to everyone who has participated in the Block by Block initiative, we are moving forward together. One step at a time, our city is improving. We’re not satisfied yet, but we are proud of the progress being made.”
On the City of Shreveport, Louisiana’s website, they explain how the Block by Block program works, “The Block by Block initiative focuses on specific neighborhoods across Shreveport, guided by local data and community input. Each targeted block becomes a site for coordinated clean-up events, infrastructure checks, resident surveys, and resource deployment.”
They continued, “Working groups composed of residents, City staff, and volunteers design and execute improvement strategies for each area. With regular progress updates and community events, the initiative ensures every voice is heard and every block gets a chance to shine.”
Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
