Toledo Police Patrolman’s Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #10 Members participated in the Ambassador Academy at Toledo Police Academy!
Toledo Police Department and the City of Toledo shared about it on social media, “This week’s Ambassador Academy visited the Toledo Police Academy for an inside look at how TPD works. Ambassadors got hands-on experience with the gear officers use on the job and even took part in a simulation where they acted as officers responding to a crisis with a Taser.”
They continued, “It was heartwarming to see Ambassadors connect with history. Several spotted family members in historical photos on the wall. Ambassador Amy recognized her Uncle Henry Reuss, a member of the 5th TPD class who graduated on December 8, 1946.”
They closed with, “Highlights included touring the SWAT vehicle and meeting Anthem, the K-9 officer, both favorites of the day.”
Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
Submit your photos today to be considered for the photo of the week next week to alinaj@iupa.org.
