Salt Lake Valley Law Enforcement Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #77 Members participated in a Flag Sojourn 250 Ceremony with an American flag that is making a nationwide journey leading up to our nation’s 250th anniversary.
Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office shared about it on social media, “On January 7, the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office proudly hosted a Flag Sojourn 250 ceremony, honoring the enduring ideals that unite our nation as we approach America’s 250th anniversary. As part of this historic nationwide journey, a special American flag made its stop in Utah—traveling to every U.S. state, territory, and overseas military cemetery to honor our past, present, and future.”
They continued, “’The Stars and Stripes represent the sacrifices made in defense of freedom and the ideals that bind us together as one nation,’ said Sheriff Rosie Rivera. The flag will make its next stop in Colorado.”
