Shreveport Police Union, I.U.P.A. Local #275 President Christopher Bordelon along with #275 Members participated in some critical training to serve and protect their community!

Shreveport Police Department posted about it on social media, “Last week, members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Special Response Team completed several hours of intensive training in crisis negotiation, hostage rescue, and close-quarters combat.”

They continued, “The Special Response Team is made up of SPD officers who volunteer for the added responsibility of responding to high-risk situations. To remain qualified, these officers undergo quarterly firearms proficiency testing and physical fitness evaluations, ensuring they are always prepared for anything our community may face.”

They continued, “Braving the elements, these highly trained officers pushed through demanding scenarios to stay sharp, capable, and ready. We are grateful for their hard work, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to keeping Shreveport safe.”

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
