Toledo Police Patrolman’s Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #10 Member Officer John Toral as well as Sergeant Michael Comes, who was a command officer to I.U.P.A. Local #10 Members, retired recently with over three decades of service each!

The Toledo Police Department shared that Officer John Toral served over 30 years with the department. He was appointed to the department on November 10, 1995 and at the time of his retirement, he was assigned to Operations. I.U.P.A. Local #10 Member Officer John Toral was also recognized with the Professional Service Award by the Toledo Police Department in 2012, which you can read about here.

Toledo Police Department also shared on Facebook about Officer Toral on July 1, 2020; “Earlier today, Officer Toral was waved down by a concerned citizen who reported an unconscious person lying on the ground near Laskey Road. Officer Toral located the man and saw that he was unresponsive and not breathing. The officer requested a life squad and began chest compressions on the man. Officer Toral continued CPR as Toledo Fire & Rescue Department arrived at the scene and took over medical care. The man was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.”

The Toledo Police Department shared that Sergeant Michael Comes served over 31 years with the department. He was appointed to the department on October 14, 1994 and at the time of his retirement, he was also assigned to Operations.

The department wished both officers a “long, healthy, and happy retirement” in their Facebook post for the occasion, as does the International Union of Police Associations for their decades of service to the safety and security of the Toledo, Ohio community!
