I.U.P.A. President Sam A. Cabral met with Ohio Members as well as Ohio Congressional Candidate Derek Merrin to share about benefits, political updates, and national and regional developments.

The meeting was the first of its kind with a regional group of I.U.P.A. Locals, with many more to come. Speakers at the meeting included:

  • I.U.P.A. President Sam A. Cabral, who spoke about national updates
  • I.U.P.A. Region 7 Vice President Michael Haynes, who discussed local updates
  • I.U.P.A. Assistant to the President Mark Nelson, who covered I.U.P.A. benefits
  • Ryan Flood of The Bowline Group, who covered political updates

The meeting was designed to share information between national and local participants, provide a forum for networking, and to answer questions. Springfield Police Patrolmen’s Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #25 sent two representatives who shared that the meeting was extremely illuminating and helpful with information they can take back to their members. They were also able to connect with Toledo Police Patrolman’s Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #10 who shared valuable negotiations tactics. C.C.N.O. Corrections Officers Assn, I.U.P.A. Local #64 representatives appreciated the political updates and opportunity to speak with President Cabral.
