Memphis Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #318 Members helped kids at the Prom Closet event so they each could have their dream prom night.
Officers helped high schoolers choose from among donated suits, dresses, and accessories. The children also had access to free haircuts to make prom affordable and fun for all. They held the event on numerous days to make sure it was available and easy to attend.
Memphis Police Department posted about it on social media, “Yesterday was amazing! We had so many students getting ready for prom. We’re here until 2 PM today at 254 South Lauderdale. Come see us and find your look!” This is an annual event and last year over 500 students participated.
