Salt Lake Valley Law Enforcement Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #77 Members proudly serve in the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office’s Mounted Posse, which just celebrated its 73rd anniversary!

Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office shared about it on social media with photos of the Mounted Posse of today and the historic photos of the original Mounted Posse, “On this day 73 years ago, the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse was formed—beginning with just 8 dedicated volunteers.”

They continued, “Today, under the leadership of Sheriff Rosie Rivera, the Mounted Posse continues to serve our community through outreach, connection, and tradition. Whether they’re attending events or engaging with residents, they play a unique and valued role in strengthening relationships across Salt Lake County.
