Salt Lake Valley Law Enforcement Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #77 Members took part in a memorial ceremony to honor and remember the heroes that we lost on September 11, 2001.

Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office shared about it on social media, “Today, we were honored to participate in the Tunnel to Towers Foundation event as a piece of steel from the World Trade Center made a stop in Utah during its journey across the country.”

They continued, “This powerful memorial serves as a lasting reminder of the people we lost on September 11, 2001, the lives they lived, and the extraordinary courage of the first responders who answered the call that day without hesitation.”

They closed with, “Thank you to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for bringing our community together to reflect, remember, and honor those forever impacted by that day.”

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.

Submit your photos today to be considered for the photo of the week next week to alinaj@iupa.org.
