Port Orange Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #6051 Members voted to approve their new one-year contract!

I.U.P.A. Local #6051’s new contract includes a wage increase with a 3% plus step advancement, a pension cap, vacation accruals increased, holiday hours added for overtime consideration, damaged property increased from $100 to $500 ($400 for eyewear), comp time increased to 84 hours annually, specialty pay for SROs and Drone Operators, improvements to the promotional process for Sergeants, and much more.

Furthermore, when it was found that I.U.P.A. Local #6051 Member Sergeant Kurtz was negatively impacted by a previous contract change by extending the pay scale to 20 steps. As a Sergeant with 22 years of service, this effect upon him became acute and I.U.P.A. promptly addressed the issue. I.U.P.A. negotiated an adjusted rate of $42.19 for him, which is the 20-year rate of $40.18 plus 5%, effective that pay period, with an additional 3% increase at the start of the new contract.
