Photos of the Week: Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Departments all across the U.S. posted on social media to thank officers for all they do to keep us all safe. Three departments with I.U.P.A. members shared especially appreciative posts on Facebook about their officers and how much they mean to their departments as well as the citizens in their community.

Vero Beach Police Department in Florida posted, “We would like to thank the Sebastian River Medical Center for providing lunch for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.”

Bel Air Police Department in Maryland posted a photo of Officer Nicholas Rhodes playing catch with kids, “Happy Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Our community is lucky to have a team that serves us so well. Law enforcement is so much more today than ever before. Thank you to all law enforcement personnel!”

Yonkers Police Department in New York posted, “Many thanks to Greyston Bakery for their donation of delicious brownies to the #YonkersPD on Friday in recognition of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! Thank you to all our local businesses, residents, and community members for supporting the Yonkers Police and Law Enforcement!!”

The I.U.P.A. joins with these fine departments in thanking law enforcement professionals for their service and sacrifice as well as their positive leadership in their communities. We are proud on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and every day of all of our members and all other LEOs for the hard work they do 24/7, 365 days a year to keep us all safe.

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
