Dogs For Life, Inc. trains therapy dogs to partner with veterans. Every Tuesday, they bring a different therapy dog in training down to the Vero Beach Police Department to meet and visit with employees. The department posted about it on social media with the below photos, “Today Master Police Officer Darrell Rivers, Lt. Daniel Cook and Animal Control Officer Scott Lee got to meet “Bullet”. Bullet is a 12 week old Lab mix in therapeutic training from Dogs For Life, Inc.. Every Tuesday, “Dogs for Life” brings by a different dog for our Officers to meet. These dogs are normally partnered with a military veteran. This is a new program the Police Department is offering to all of its employees for comforting and therapy.” CBS News picked up the story and you can read more here.
