Photos of the Week: Pinwheels for Prevention

This week’s photos of the week come from Shreveport, LA where I.U.P.A. Local Shreveport Police Union, #275 members along with other Shreveport Police Department staff and community members from Shreveport as well as surrounding Louisiana localities came together for the “Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign”.

The Month of April is recognized as National Child Abuse Awareness Month. On April 10, these local communities joined together to show their support for the victims of child abuse and to raise awareness by planting blue pinwheels on the lawn outside of the Shreveport Police Department.

On this, Shreveport Police Department posted on social media, “We would like to thank all those who attended the Pinwheels for Prevention garden this morning.  We really have some great people in our agencies and community. Special thanks to Lt. Diana Coleman and Sergeant Brandon Ortiz for their hard work and dedication to the cause!”

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
