Photos of the Week: I.U.P.A. Local 133 Donating to Pack it Back and Team of Mercy

I.U.P.A. Terre Haute, #133 has been very busy helping their community, not only by serving and protecting, but also by giving to important local initiatives. They were featured in two articles about their philanthropic efforts for the Pack it Back program on WIBQ and WTWO! The Pack it Back program funds backpacks filled with food for the summer for children who do not have enough to eat. I.U.P.A. Terre Haute, #133 raised the funds from their members and gave $1,000 check to the program to help out local kids.

I.U.P.A. Terre Haute, #133 also donated t-shirts and funds to Team of Mercy for their Color Run, an event that raises awareness of suicide prevention. Team of Mercy offers assistance to the families and loved ones left behind after someone commits or attempts to commit suicide. Information about the race is available on their website and at Team of Mercy’s Facebook page.

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
