Photos of the Week: Mardi Gras

I.U.P.A. Local Hammond Police Association, #345 Members have been hard at work keeping everyone safe during this year’s Mardi Gras festivities. Retired I.U.P.A. Local Hammond Police Association, #345 Member Cindy Moral, who served as a Records Clerk for over thirty years, is married to Robert Moral who cooked up some pastalaya for officers so they wouldn’t watch over the parade with empty stomachs.

Hammond Police Department posted on social media, “Thank you to our outside agencies for your assistance with tonight’s parade! Our officers preparing to keep our community safe. HAPPY MARDI GRAS! Everyone enjoy the parade!!”

The department also posted, “Gratitude to Mr. Robert Moral for generously cooking pastalaya for our officers and the outside agencies that will be assisting Hammond Police Department – Louisiana with our Mardi Gras Parade tonight! Mr. Robert, your delicious gesture is truly appreciated!!!”

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
