I.U.P.A. Local Bel Air Police Association, #229 Treasurer Nick Rhodes held a sign designating the road alongside Bel Air Police Department as Zack Miller Way in memory of the late Senior Officer Zack Miller who passed from a medical emergency related to his heart. I.U.P.A. Local Bel Air Police Association, #229 Members and other officers and citizens attended the placement of the sign and designation of the street in his memory.

Bel Air Police Department posted on social media, “We paid tribute to the late Senior Officer Zack Miller during the Board of Town Commissioners meeting on Monday. The commissioners approved a resolution to rename Bel Air Police Department Drive as Zack Miller Way, and the sign went up on Tuesday.”

Their post continued, “We also honored Frank Krick, Deputy James Plumer, and Michael Dunn for their invaluable support as we grappled with the sudden passing of Zack in February. Our deepest thanks to all three for helping our officers as they go through the grieving process and for the crucial assistance in planning and executing Zack’s visitation and funeral service.”

Each week, the I.U.P.A. Briefing Room features a photo that exemplifies the valuable part of the community that our Law Enforcement Officers all across the U.S. are and their positive impact as well as their dedication, service, and sacrifice.
