I.U.P.A. Local Memphis Police Association, #318 Local Leaders alongside I.U.P.A. attorney Deborah Godwin successfully secured a 5% raise for officers!
I.U.P.A. Local Memphis Police Association, #318 President Matt Cunningham spoke of their hard work in negotiations and how they were eventually successful, “When our wage negotiations went to impasse this year on March 28, 2024, the City’s last best offer was a 3% raise and the MPA’s last best offer was a 5% raise.”
President Cunningham continued, “Per City ordinance, the City council then votes on impasse packages to settle the impasse. On May 21, 2024, the Memphis City Council voted for the MPA’s package in favor of the 5% raise. That vote then had to be confirmed by funding it in the annual budget. The City passed the budget on June 25, 2024 that included the MPA’s win at impasse and confirming the MPA’s 5% raise for FY25, which took effect July 1, 2024.”
