Virginia Beach P.B.A., I.U.P.A. Local #34 hosted the 2025 Brad Harper Memorial Golf Classic in honor of Sergeant Brad Harper who served with Virginia Beach Police Department and the U.S. Marine Corps. He was killed on August 3, 2005 in Haditha, Iraq along with 13 of his fellow Marines.

Proceeds from the event this year went to a scholarship in his name for someone from his home town who will pursue law enforcement as a career. Last year, they benefitted Eyes of Freedom, a traveling memorial for military personnel. Virginia Beach P.B.A., I.U.P.A. Local #34 hosts the event every year in Sergeant Harper’s honor.

Virginia Beach P.B.A., I.U.P.A. Local #34 posted on social media, “What a great day! Thanks to everyone who played and donated! This year’s golf tournament to remember and honor Brad Harper was a great success. Because of everyone’s generosity we will be donating $4,500 to a scholarship in Brad’s name!”
