Members of Lawton Police Officers Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #24 used the Open Streets event to teach kids about traffic, roads, and bicycle safety.

Lawton Police Department posted about the event on social media, “This past weekend the Lawton Police Department Bike Team was lucky enough to participate in the Open Streets event downtown. The officers had a great time with the bicycle rodeo and teaching about bicycle safety. Thank you for coming out and allowing us to be a part of your weekend.”

Lawton Police Department also teaches bike safety (on motorcycles that is) to adults in their motorcycle safety classes. You can learn all about them on their Facebook page. Many of the officers who teach those classes are also Members of Lawton Police Officers Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #24.
