Many of the I.U.P.A.s’ Locals and Members from across the nation attended the 2025 Police Week memorials and events, including Prince William County Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #5010.

Prince William County Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #5010 Members and their fellow officers attended events from beginning to end. Prince William County Police Department posted about it on social media throughout the week:

  • May 9, “#PWCPD members joined loved ones yesterday in Washington, D.C. to present wreaths in memory of our fallen officers at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. Sincere thanks to the Prince William County Police Association and Honor Guard Unit. #AlwaysRemembered #PoliceWeek2025
  • May 11, “National Police Week begins today, Sunday, May 11 and will be recognized through Saturday, May 17, 2025. National Peace Officers Memorial Day is honored each year on May 15. Ceremonies are planned in Washington, D.C., and in local communities honoring the lives and service of fallen officers. This week has immeasurable significance for our department as we pause to pay tribute to our fallen officers: Ashley M. Guindon, Chris Yung, P. Michael Pennington, P. “Pete” T. White, Jr. and K-9 Gunner. The Prince William County Police Department has lost four heroes and a fearless police K-9 since our inception in July of 1970. May we never forget their sacrifice and always honor their service to our community and law enforcement family. In valor there is hope. – Tacitus #PoliceWeek2025 #NationalPoliceWeek #AlwaysRemembered #NeverForgotten #ThinBlueLine
  • May 12, “Law Enforcement United – Team Prince William LEU: Honor the Fallen, Remember the Survivors! As Law Enforcement United – LEU traveled the Road to Hope, they came through Quantico this morning to recognize those who gave their final devotion in the line of duty. Thank you, LEU, and #PWCPD Honor Guard for showing such great respect for their memory. #NeverForget #PoliceWeek2025 (LEU photos along their journey.)”
  • May 14, “Tomorrow, May 15, 2025, is Peace Officers Memorial Day. We will fly the United States Flag at half-staff to honor our fallen. #PoliceWeek #NeverForgotten
  • May 17, “POLICE WEEK 2025: We are appreciative of the support of our community, especially during this past week. Thank you for joining us in honoring #PWCPD fallen Officers White, Pennington, Yung, Guindon and K9 Gunner. #AlwaysRemembered #honorguard
