WTWO WAWV TV reported on the events here. Wabash Valley Crew Club’s webpage describes how they began their work in 2016, “Participation has grown to include 8th-12th grade rowers from beyond Vigo County. Wabash Valley Crew has also assisted with establishing the area’s first-ever collegiate rowing team at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.”

They continued, “Wabash Valley Crew built a special dock at Fairbanks Park and donated it to the City of Terre Haute.  With that completed, they are currently practicing on the beautiful Wabash River.” They have a video on YouTube about what they do here.

Terre Haute Police Department posted on social media about their officers taking part in the charity event, “For the fourth year in a row, THPD dominated the Wabash Valley Crew Rowing Challenge! Apparently, all that donut-fueled cardio is really paying off. We had a blast and were proud to help raise money for a great local club. We’ll keep the belt safe till next year’s competition!”
