Lieutenants from Broward County Sheriff’s Office heard about the negotiating power and benefits that the I.U.P.A. offers, so they expressed an interest in joining the I.U.P.A. In response, the I.U.P.A. filed a petition on May 8, 2024 with PERC. PERC ruled on November 07, 2024 that an election would be held in which the lieutenants could vote for who would represent them. Negotiations Update: Osceola Corrections I.U.P.A. Local 6088
Osceola Corrections I.U.P.A. Local 6088 Members alongside their I.U.P.A. Representative Bob Walker negotiated an excellent contract! Osceola Corrections I.U.P.A. Local 6088 filed for an impasse for the unit in November. On December 18, Osceola County came back and offered to add an additional 2% to everyone’s base pay on top of the raises. The unit voted overwhelmingly to accept the offer 110-4! The contract has now been ratified. The I.U.P.A. Briefing Room covered previous negotiations in May 2024.
