On Saturday, September 24th, the I.U.P.A. held the Golf Classic at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida. The event was held in support of LEORF, the Law Enforcement Officers Relief Fund, and critically needed funds were raised to assist LEORF in its efforts to provide relief to officers and their families. The event allows for a day of golf, fun, and good company while raising money for an important cause.
LEORF supports families of officers critically injured or killed in the line of duty, lessening the immediate financial hardship and providing assistance to their immediate family members due to the result of disaster, violence, or any other calamity. LEORF is a 501(c) 3 non-profit charitable corporation and donations are tax deductible.
LEORF was created to assist LEOs and their families when faced with tragedy, such as violence or natural disaster. It can sometimes take weeks to put together the necessary paperwork to collect the benefits officers and their families have earned and deserve. LEORF is there immediately to support our public safety officers in their greatest time of need.
LEORF holds the Golf Classic annually to raise funds so that they can support LEOs and their families in times of need. Find out more about LEORF here.
