On National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, communities recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of School Resource Officers in safeguarding our schools and nurturing a safe learning environment for our children.

Prince William County, VA

I.U.P.A. Local Prince William County Police Association, #5010 Members in Virginia were appreciated in some posts on the Prince William County Police Department’s social media page, “School Resource Officer Appreciation Day not only honors those who serve our school communities as certified law enforcement officers but also commemorates their contribution as role models and law-related educators. PWCPD echoes this sentiment and is proud of our SROs and their commitment to the safest environment possible for the students and staff of Prince William County Schools.”

Lebanon, MO

I.U.P.A. Local Lebanon Police Officers Assn., #7 SROs in Missouri were recognized by Lebanon Police Department’s post, “We have the BEST School Resource Officers around! Today is National SRO Appreciation Day and we wanted to give a shout out to Officer Janko and Officer Ambrose! If you see them around today make sure to show your appreciation for them too!”

Harris County, TX

I.U.P.A. Local Coalition of Police, #911 Members in Texas were pictured in a post on Harris County Constable Precinct 4’s social media page, “February 15th marks National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!
