I.U.P.A. local Napoleon Police Officers' Association, #240 along with the Napoleon Fire Department hosted and participated in their third annual Hoops and Heroes game. The police officers won the game again this year and as yet are undefeated. Napoleon Police Officers’ Association and the Napoleon Fire Department take turns picking who the proceeds from the event will benefit. I.U.P.A. local Lake County Police Association Local #72 sponsored two teams to play in the N.I.C.K. Dodgeball Tournament and their members played the game to benefit the cause. Over 200 local first responders, elected officials, and local businesses played dodgeball during the event to help raise money for the Northwest Indiana Cancer Kids Foundation. I.U.P.A. Local Shreveport Police Union President Christopher Bordelon donated blood on February 11 at the Shreveport Police Department along with other Shreveport police, firefighters, and members of the public. Shreveport Police Department hosts four blood drives a year and raises 18-29 pints of blood per drive. There is a nationwide blood shortage and blood donations are critically needed.
